Stewardship gave an update at the congregational meeting on Wednesday February 15th. The vision budget for 2006 is $200,000 higher than the 2005 budget. The vision budget for 2006 will support additional spending related to community and world service, building maintenance, worship, education, and personnel. Due to the level of pledges so far, we are asking for an additional pledge from all members of Bonhomme in order to support our vision.

Restore St. Louis – Inner city outreach,
Alpha – Bringing Christ to the lost,
Haven of Grace – Changing the lives of homeless, pregnant women,
Presbyterian Children’s Services – Provide for child caring agencies in Missouri,
Isaiah 58 – Serve the needy people of St. Louis with food, clothing, and assistance,
Circle of Concern – Support the poor and working class in our community)

Education and worship improvements
Stronger discipleship programs
Personnel costs and
Cost of living and insurance
We ask for the united support of the congregation
Based on pledges for 2006, our projected revenue is flat vs. 2005. However, our 2006 vision budget is $200,000 higher than 2005 and we ask the leaders and congregation to support our church with an additional “Vision Pledge.”

Pray about our outreach activities,
Pray about the discipleship of the church
In 2006 and beyond, we will:
Be building a strong church community that shows compassion for each other and those that are lost, hungry, and poor
Be building a strong foundation of stewardship as a lifestyle

Matthew 6: 19-21 - Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
