It is a joy for me to rejoin the staff of Bonhomme Presbyterian Church as the Executive Pastor-Head of Staff. In doing so, I am engaging two of my passions for ministry – organizational management and outreach. I look forward to working with Tom, the staff, and our deacons to supervise the day-to-day management of the church and to implement the nuts-and-bolts of the new vision. A significant part of my ministry will be working with the Community and World Service Committee, especially in developing global mission involvement.

About Rev. Ferbet

Gary brings to Bonhomme Presbyterian Church (BPC) a diverse experience in the church serving as associate pastor three times, pastor twice, co-pastor once and currently executive pastor in congregations ranging in size from 125 to 4300. He has served congregations exclusively in over thirty years of professional ministry in Florida, Iowa, Missouri, and Texas.

Originally coming to BPC in 1995 as the Associate Pastor, Congregational Life, he moved to Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church (MDPC), in Houston, Texas in 1999 to serve first as the Associate Pastor, Pastoral Care, but eventually repositioned to Executive Pastor, Program Administration and Outreach.

A significant part of his role at MDPC was to manage the Dollar for Dollar Outreach ministry, which enabled the congregation to support scores of agencies, locally and globally. He has planned and coordinated mission trips to Mexico, Guatemala and Northern Ireland.

Gary is married to Pam, a Roman Catholic. Together they have led reconciliation mission trips to Northern Ireland. They have seven sons and two granddaughters
