Our Vision

Sharing Christ With Open Arms, Through Preaching, Teaching, and Healing

This simple phrase has long served as the mission statement of Bonhomme Presbyterian Church and describes our role in the world.We carry out this role through a vision of the church, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and cast by the congregation, staff and Session.

Our Foundational Blocks:

Bonhomme Presbyterian Church is first and foremost a people and place of worship.We are created
to worship God. In everything we do we have the opportunity to worship. An equal block in the foundation of our vision– worship uniquely ties together each of the other blocks–praise for our Creator and Savior; our community of believers; growing spiritually as we learn about God; and preparation for outreach and mission.

Mission & evangelism are the fruit of a mature Christian faith. Both are our responsibility as Christians and the arena in which we demonstrate our gratitude for the grace we have received through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

 

Bonhomme is a welcoming Christian community that provides a gathering place to enjoy true Christian fellowship all week long-–a place for all ages to celebrate joys, to share sorrows, and to care for and support one another.

 

We envision a campus for Christ centered learning and spiritual formation, a community dedicated to growing into the image of Christ.We expect to develop leaders–for the church and the world.We recognize that the Spiritual Formation of our children and youth is critical to furthering God’s Kingdom on earth.
